Street Chalk Artist

This is so cool! There are a few of these drawings (like the Coke bottle) that I really have a hard time telling they are drawings. Truly amazing!

Julian Beever is an English artist who is famous for his art on the pavements of England, France, Germany, USA, Australia and Belgium. via rense.com

This is the same drawing as above, except it's being viewed from the top...

Post Update: nworbxela

Back in December, I posted this about a Google experiment. The experiment relates to how search engines rank websites on keywords. In this case, our keyword is a made up word - and when the experiment was started, google produced no results.

I am currently ranked 37 on google for this search term. Click here to see. Click through to me and we will watch my link rank increase. Aren't you just so happy you get to contribute to this?

AREN'T YOU?

New Sidebar Addition

If you take a peek over there ------------------------->
you will see a new addition called "My evil del.icio.us links".

It you haven't checked out del.icio.us, then you really need to. It's a "social" bookmarking website. Patrick, what is social bookmarking, you ask? Well, reader - lets take a "for example": I am reading a cool article on how to skin a cat. Normally, if I liked said article - I would just bookmark it for future reference.

4 reasons del.icio.us is better then that:

Reason 1: Bookmarking a link only allows me to access the bookmark on that specific computer - and I use 3 computers.
With del.icio.us, I can access my bookmarks from any web connected computer.

Reason 2: When I bookmark that site, the title will probably be something like "About.com, Achives September 2005, Feline Stuff". Will I remember to look under this title when searching in my 1000 bookmarks? No.... and then those links become useless. When you bookmark with del.icio.us, you can assign key words - or tags - to every bookmark. So, when I bookmark this article about skinning a cat - I would assign tags of "Cat" "Skin" "How.To" "To.Do" "To.Blog". Then I could search my tags for any of those words and find the link again.

Reason 3: There are millions of other people using del.icio.us. They have already read about, and tagged other articles about skinning cats. I can search their tags for subjects and see what the community came up with.

Reason 4: del.icio.us/popular. My favorite stomping grounds. This is where del.icio.us places the most popular links of the day, ranked by popularity. It's sort of "World News Tonight" meets the internet.

So, in summary - when I post something to my del.icio.us account, it will automatically appear on the sidebar. Come back every once in a while and stalk me.

AAAAAAAAaaa rrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnhhhh, HHHurrRRRRRRRRnhhhh.

Andrew of Vinci

My buddy Andrew, started this blog about his artwork. He is a very talented artist, and if you took note of the title of this post, you would be on the right track on just HOW good he is.

The story goes something like this: Vinci, Italy and Allentown, Pennsylvania USA are sister cities and an art piece that Andrew did is currently hanging in the city hall in Vinci, Italy!

Oh, and he moves copiers the size of a Volkswagen like a champ.

Take a peek at his work, and post a comment encouraging him to give us more!!!! There are too many blogs out there that haven't been posted to in 3 months.

Google, MSN and Yahoo in a blind taste test

Being a Google fan, I was more then happy to try this "blind test" of the most relevent results on the three major search engines.

Simply go here and try a search term. It will give you 3 results, and you select the most relevent. Of course, you don't know which one you are chosing, so Google lovers like me can't cheat.

Let me know what you came up with.

P.S. That's not me and Beck!

New Game. Not for the weak!

I've had lots of friends tell me that they liked the other game I posted... well wait until you try this one!

It gets harder and harder.... almost surprising.

From the "Genius!" Department

Google has changed the world. Really. What we thought before means nothing now. We live in a new world.

Take this idea for example. Sell the roof of your building for advertising on Google Maps. For $10,000!

Yeah. I just smacked my forehead.

Chompers

Breaking News: Kaitlyn got her first tooth today!

Only took 8 months!

Escapa!

Talk about addictive! The good thing about Escapa! is that if you are really good, a game takes less then 20 seconds.

Yeah... my best so far was 7.something.

Good luck... and godspeed.

Thank you Uncle Joel for our new outfits!

Kaitey Bird!

Dry Ice

I got a delivery from Omaha Steaks for a Christmas present (thanks Kathe!), and it had dry ice in the cooler with a BIG WARNING not to mess with it.

Kind of like a jumping cholla cactus, I couldn't resist myself. But, that's a story for another day.

"Gimme a Coke - AND a coffee!"

The Coca-Cola Company announced that it will launch Coca-Cola Blāk in January in France, the first of several countries – including the United States - that are expected to introduce the new Coca-Cola and coffee fusion in 2006.

"Coca-Cola Blāk is an invigorating and stimulating blend that has a perfect balance of the effervescent taste sensation of Coca-Cola and natural flavors, with real coffee. The lightly carbonated, mid-calorie beverage, which is designed to appeal to adult consumers, is yet another example how The Coca-Cola Company reaches out to new audiences and addresses new beverage occasions."

According to www.waterandcoffee.com:

"Coffee is the worlds most popular beverage. More than 400 billion cups are consumed each year. It is a world commodity second in trade only to oil."

Guess Coke has something there.

Recognize Me?

MyHeritage.com has some pretty cool software. You upload a picture of yourself and it analyzes it's database of faces. Apparently, if you wear glasses, it includes them as part of your face - so I got some pretty interesting results:

In case you are wondering from left to right:

Me, Elton John, Elvis Costello, and... William Hung?

I'm not really sure how I feel about that. Gotta be true, it's on a web site!
